
Let the Right One In, what does that title mean to you? You have a choice, of either letting evil or good out, or in. This film was absolutely fantastic!! A great genre film that not only show us the "horror" of being a vampire but a great story of struggle and joy in adolescent life. Its a Narrative Film, which means the film is generally accepted as possessing two components: the story presented and the process of its telling, or narration.
Oskar is a 12 year old fragile boy who's bullied at school but is never able to fight back. One night he meets Eli, mysterious, bold, and is the one true spark that helps Oskar fight back. Although her moving in is coupled with gruesome murders Oskar eventually finds out that Eli is a vampire.
Dark, disturbing, hopeful and at the same time very tender, this film weaves friendship, loyalty, rejection and defiance into a beautiful masterpiece of cinematic film. I highly recommend it. Here is the trailer:
